SDAIA Enhances Pilgrim Services With Data And AI Solutions For The 1446 AH Hajj Season
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has finalised its preparations for the 1446 AH Hajj season. It continues to provide technical support to government bodies responsible for Hajj by launching and activating digital platforms and AI-powered products. These initiatives aim to offer optimal services to pilgrims arriving through various entry points, including land borders, seaports, and airports.
SDAIA's technical team is active in 12 airports across eight countries, ensuring smooth operations and continuous IT support throughout the Hajj season. This year, SDAIA played a role in developing the unified digital platform for Hajj permits, known as the "Tasreeh Platform." This platform was launched by the Ministry of Interior and integrates with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's Nusuk Hajj Platform.

The Tasreeh Platform allows pilgrims from both inside and outside Saudi Arabia to obtain permits to enter Makkah and other holy sites. It also facilitates entry for workers, volunteers, and their vehicles. Permits can be viewed via the national "Tawakkalna" app, which now includes a new service enabling pilgrims to view their permits through integration with the Tasreeh Platform.
Among the key infrastructures supporting this year’s Hajj is the Smart Makkah Operations Center (SMART MOC), located at SDAIA’s headquarters in Makkah. This center acts as a crucial hub for managing advanced systems and platforms. It plays a vital role in enhancing digital services while improving crowd and security management at holy sites.
The SMART MOC uses an integrated system that includes the "Baseer" platform, developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior. Baseer enables real-time crowd analysis using sophisticated data-processing algorithms. SDAIA's collaboration with the Ministry also involves platforms like "Sawaher" and "Sawaher Qiyada," which provide intelligent analytics from surveillance feeds at holy sites and entry points.
These platforms offer real-time field monitoring and big data analytics to aid decision-making processes and enhance operational security. Meanwhile, Ehsan, a national charitable platform, is expanding its role during Hajj by offering services that maximise humanitarian impact.
Ehsan Expands Charitable Initiatives
Ehsan supports Saudi Arabia’s sacrificial program "Adahi," allowing pilgrims and donors to authorise it to perform and distribute sacrificial offerings reliably within set timeframes. These efforts highlight SDAIA's commitment to leveraging technology for efficient management during Hajj.
Overall, these initiatives reflect a comprehensive approach towards improving pilgrim experiences through technology while ensuring safety and efficiency during one of Islam's most significant events.
