SCCI And SCTDA Successfully Wrap Up Shamsa Entertainment Park, Boosting Tourism In Sharjah
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) recently wrapped up Shamsa Entertainment Park, a key feature of this year's Sharjah Summer Promotions. This family-friendly destination ran for a month at Expo Centre Sharjah, themed "Shamsa Festival – Where Joy Shines". It successfully met its goals of boosting community well-being, economic activity, and tourism in the Emirate.
Shamsa Entertainment Park drew an unexpectedly large crowd from 31st July to 30th August. Thousands of visitors, including residents and tourists, enjoyed a variety of programmes that combined fun, learning, and creativity. The venue was designed to cater to all family members' aspirations in an innovative setting.

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, remarked that the park's successful conclusion aligns with the Chamber’s vision for sustainable entertainment models. These models complement shopping promotions and provide long-term value. He highlighted how the initiative strengthens Sharjah's appeal as a family destination while boosting retail, tourism, and entertainment sectors during the summer promotions.
Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of SCTDA, stressed the importance of entertainment initiatives in reinforcing Sharjah’s status as a leading tourism and family hub. He noted the strong link between retail and tourism sectors and emphasised creating offerings that enhance Sharjah's competitiveness while advancing its sustainable economic and social goals.
The park played a crucial role in supporting Sharjah Summer Promotions 2025 by featuring over 1,000 retail outlets offering discounts up to 75% on various brands. It provided a safe environment for children while allowing parents to enjoy attractive retail offers. This enhanced family experiences significantly.
Moreover, Shamsa Entertainment Park boosted private sector involvement by providing spaces for home-based businesses and entrepreneurs through food and retail kiosks. This initiative allowed local and international brands to capitalise on high visibility at the event, driving economic activity across multiple industries.
Public-Private Partnerships
Al Owais also mentioned that strong public-private partnerships are paving the way for innovative entertainment assets. This initiative is becoming an anticipated annual summer tradition that enhances investment opportunities while improving community well-being in Sharjah.
The park succeeded in fulfilling its strategic objectives by creating a vibrant atmosphere where families could engage in various activities. It not only supported local businesses but also attracted global brands looking to expand their reach within the region.
This year’s Shamsa Entertainment Park has set a benchmark for future events by integrating entertainment with economic growth strategies effectively. The collaboration between different sectors has proven beneficial in promoting Sharjah as an attractive destination for both residents and tourists alike.
