SCCI Hosts Sharjah Excellence Award Best Practices Forum 2024 To Highlight Innovation In Communication

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) hosted the Sharjah Excellence Award Best Practices Forum 2024. The event, themed "We Innovate to Communicate," focused on innovation in media and government communication. It aimed to enhance partnerships with business sectors and highlighted the youth's role in advancing communication industries. The forum sought to promote positive institutional practices within the UAE and the broader region.

Held at the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP), the forum attracted notable attendees. Among them were Salem bin Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Sharjah, and Halima Humaid Ali Al Owais, SCCI Board Member. Other key figures included Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI, Nada Al Hajri, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Excellence Award, and Jamal Saeed Buzanjal, Director of Corporate Communication Department at SCCI.

SCCI Organises Best Practices Forum 2024

The forum delved into topics surrounding traditional and modern media, highlighting their societal impact. Discussions centred on how effective communication fosters relationships between organisations and communities. The event also explored achieving excellence in government media to support a knowledge-driven economy. This aligns with SCCI's commitment to promoting quality and institutional excellence in the private sector.

Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi emphasised that the Best Practices Forum is a significant milestone for the Sharjah Excellence Award. This annual event is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. Al Shamsi reiterated the Chamber’s dedication to adopting best practices that contribute to sustainable development across the UAE and GCC.

A panel discussion featured experts from communication and media fields. Speakers included Nayla Al Khaja, an Emirati film producer, director, and scriptwriter; Alya Al Souqi from SCTDA; Abdullah Al Sharhan from Sharjah Media City (Shams); and Majid Khaled Al Hammadi from Sharjah Youth Council. They shared insights on enhancing institutional communication through digital platforms while recognising traditional media's ongoing influence.

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into communication was another focal point. Experts discussed AI's role in shaping decision-making amid technological advancements. The forum acknowledged youth as pivotal in driving future media transformation through innovative practices.

Commitment to Sustainable Development

The forum underscored SCCI’s commitment to fostering partnerships across various business sectors. By promoting quality practices within institutions, it aims to drive economic growth throughout the UAE regionally. The event served as a platform for sharing best practices recognised by the Sharjah Excellence Award.

Representatives from entities like Sharjah Police General Directorate, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), and Sharjah Media City (Shams) were present at this significant gathering. Their participation highlighted collaborative efforts towards achieving excellence in communication strategies.

This year's forum successfully highlighted innovation's role in enhancing media communications while emphasising youth involvement as crucial for future advancements in this field.
