SBWC's Pearl Quest Competition Highlights Innovative Women Entrepreneurs In Sharjah
The ‘Pearl Quest’ competition, organised by the Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC), recently concluded, marking a significant milestone for women-led startups in Sharjah. The event awarded AED 55,000 in total prizes to its winners. Eight talented female entrepreneurs had the opportunity to present their business ideas to a panel of judges, aiming to secure funding and advance their ventures.
Among the winners, 'Bulbul' secured the Grand Prize of AED 25,000. 'Creams Botanics' was named First Runner-Up, receiving AED 15,000, while 'House of Clay' took home AED 15,000 as the Second Runner-Up. These innovative pitches captured the essence of the competition and showcased the participants' creativity and determination.

The event was graced by notable attendees including Sheikha Hind Bint Majid Al Qasimi, Chairperson of SBWC; Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of SCTDA; Maryam bin Al Shaikh, Director of SBWC; and Sara Abdelaziz Al Nuaimi, CEO of Sheraa. Other prominent figures from various industries also attended to support these budding entrepreneurs.
Maryam Bin Al Shaikh delivered a keynote speech highlighting the importance of empowering women in business. She stated: "At SBWC, through the patronage and visionary guidance of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah; we understand that when women rise, economies flourish. Female-led businesses are mediums for social change, job creation, and innovation; and to empower you all is something we take with great pride and importance."
Maryam Bin Al Shaikh further praised the participants for their exceptional promise and business acumen. She emphasised that these qualities were honed through the SBWC Entrepreneurship Programme in collaboration with Sheraa. The programme aims to foster growth and development among female entrepreneurs by providing them with essential resources and mentorship.
The competition not only celebrated innovative ideas but also underscored the potential impact of investing in women-led businesses. By supporting these ventures, SBWC hopes to drive social change and economic growth within Sharjah and beyond.
