SBWC Launches Empowering Events For Women Entrepreneurs In 2025
The Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) initiated 2025 with a series of events aimed at empowering women in business and nurturing an entrepreneurial ecosystem. These January events showcased SBWC's commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and providing essential resources for its members.
On 16th January 2025, SBWC organised "Your Voice, Our Vision" at the welcoming Lammah Space in Al Jada. This one-day event emphasised the council's member-focused approach by gathering its community for dedicated focus group sessions. Members shared feedback on the council’s past initiatives and programs.

The event was designed to encourage open dialogue, featuring representatives from the Business Development and Membership departments. They facilitated discussions and gathered insights, ensuring members' voices were heard and considered in shaping the council’s future direction. Participants discussed industry-specific training, mentorship opportunities, and networking avenues.
Mariam bin Alshaikh, Director of SBWC, stated, "We believe that the strength of our community lies in the collective wisdom of its members, and events like these allow us to connect with our members on a deeper level and ensure that our initiatives align with their ambitions. Their voices guide us as we chart a path forward together."
On 23rd January 2025, SBWC launched the "Industry Spotlight" series focusing on entrepreneurship in Kalba. This event gathered aspiring and seasoned entrepreneurs for learning, dialogue, and connection. It created a vibrant space for exchanging ideas and experiences among participants.
The interactive format allowed attendees to engage in practical exercises and discussions to deepen their understanding of entrepreneurship. Networking sessions enriched the experience by fostering connections between attendees and speakers, encouraging collaborations that could lead to future business opportunities.
By hosting such events, SBWC reaffirmed its commitment to empowering its members with tools needed for success. The council's philosophy of collective growth positions it as a catalyst for change in the business landscape.
