Saudi Broadcasting Authority Signs Six Key Agreements To Advance Media Content Development
The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) has entered into six agreements to boost broadcasting and media training. These collaborations were formalised on the first day of the Saudi Media Forum in Riyadh, which took place from February 19 to 20. The partnerships involve both government and private entities, aiming to enhance cooperation and develop media content.
Among the notable agreements is one with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU). This partnership aims to boost RCU's international presence by covering visits from global media delegations during international summits, conferences, and seasonal events. It will also ensure comprehensive coverage of local and international events organised by the commission, highlighting AlUla's historical and touristic importance.

The agreement with the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) focuses on sharing geospatial data and information. This collaboration aims to improve the Kingdom's image by showcasing advancements in the geospatial sector. Additionally, it will provide training for national cadres in media fields and support efforts to promote products from both entities.
The signed agreements involve several organisations, including Arabsat, stc, the National eLearning Center, and Red Sea Global (RSG). These partnerships are designed to foster cooperation across different sectors within broadcasting and media training. By working together, these entities aim to create a more dynamic media landscape in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Media Forum, alongside the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), represents a unique event that merges creativity with technology. This gathering aims to build productive media partnerships that promote sustainable development while shaping the future of media. It serves as a platform for media creators and leaders to convene in Riyadh.
Awards and Recognition at the Forum
During the forum, the Saudi Media Forum Award will be presented. This award seeks to develop media content further, encourage competition among participants, and honour those who innovate within the industry. Such recognition is intended to inspire continued excellence in media production.
This series of agreements marks a significant step towards enhancing broadcasting capabilities in Saudi Arabia. By collaborating with various organisations, SBA aims to strengthen its role in developing high-quality media content that reflects both local culture and global trends.
