Sawani Launches Model Farm With Capacity To Produce 500,000 Litres Of Camel Milk Monthly

Sawani, a company backed by the Public Investment Fund and owner of the NOUG brand, has unveiled its model farm and a state-of-the-art camel milk production facility. This venture is in partnership with GEA, a German firm known for its expertise in modern milking systems. The facility can accommodate over 10,000 camels and produce approximately 500,000 litres of milk monthly.

Fawzan Al-Madhi, Sawani's head of agriculture and camels sector, highlighted that the facility adheres to top-tier quality and food safety standards. It employs cutting-edge technologies to ensure optimal production. Recently, Sawani introduced long-life camel milk products in various sizes and flavours. These products cater to all consumer segments, including children, and are distributed both within Saudi Arabia and internationally due to camel milk's nutritional benefits.

Saudi Arabia boasts over 2.2 million camels across its regions, according to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. This makes it one of the largest camel-owning countries globally. The nation is renowned for its significant camel population, genetic diversity, and cultural heritage. Camel-based products contribute economically, especially in meat and milk sectors.
