Visit Saudi Initiative Helps Saudia Welcome 27 Million Tourists By 2025
Saudia and the Saudi Tourism Authority have expanded their partnership by unveiling Saudia aircraft carrying the "Visit Saudi" logo at the Jeddah maintenance village. The branded Boeing B787-9 fleet will act as flying advertisements for the Kingdom, promoting authentic Saudi hospitality and tourism experiences while supporting Vision 2030 targets across long-haul international routes.
The collaboration between Saudia and the Saudi Tourism Authority has already helped the Kingdom welcome about 27 million tourists and visitors from 24 countries through 2025. Saudia chief marketing officer Khaled Tash said this joint work supports the plan to attract 150 million tourists by 2030, building on tourism milestones earlier achieved in 2023.

According to a statement given to the Saudi Press Agency, Khaled Tash explained that the Boeing B787-9 was chosen for the partnership because it is designed for long-haul operations. The aircraft will operate routes from Jeddah to Washington, D.C., as well as destinations in East Asia and China, linking distant markets directly with Saudi Arabia.
The new aircraft livery is part of a wider strategic agreement between Saudia and the Saudi Tourism Authority aimed at strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global tourist destination. By 2026, these "Visit Saudi" aircraft are expected to serve 25 destinations worldwide, creating a mobile promotional platform that highlights diverse Saudi locations, events and tourism seasons.

Saudi Tourism Authority spokesperson Abdullah Al-Dakhil stated that air connectivity is one of the main pillars of the tourism sector. Al-Dakhil said branding international Boeing B787-9 aircraft is intended to create an engaging promotional platform that greets travellers during their journey to Saudi Arabia and introduces the country’s varied destinations, seasons and international events throughout the year.
Through this coordinated effort, Saudia and the Saudi Tourism Authority are linking key global cities to the Kingdom while presenting Saudi culture and hospitality before passengers land. The initiative aligns commercial aviation plans with tourism policy, supporting long-term visitor growth and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s visibility as a destination for both leisure and events.
