Saudia Airlines Achieves Significant Growth With Over 17.5 Million Passengers Transported In First Half Of 2025

Saudia Airlines experienced notable growth in its operational performance during the first half of 2025. The airline transported over 17.5 million passengers, marking a 7.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This growth is detailed in their operational performance report, highlighting significant achievements.

The airline's network, which spans four continents, saw over 100,000 flights operated, including both scheduled and additional services. This represents a 4% rise in flight operations. Saudia also logged more than 293,000 flight hours and achieved an on-time performance rate of 89.6%, underscoring its commitment to punctuality.

Internationally, Saudia recorded a 5% increase in passenger numbers, transporting over 9.6 million people. The airline operated more than 43,700 international flights, reflecting a growth of 3%. Domestically, there was a remarkable 10% rise in passenger numbers, with a total of 7.9 million passengers carried through more than 56,000 flights.

The airline's fleet of 148 aircraft has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency. Looking ahead, the arrival of 117 new aircraft is expected to further boost flight frequency and seat capacity on existing routes while opening up new international markets.

These developments are part of Saudia's strategy to strengthen global connectivity to the Kingdom and support national objectives in tourism, entertainment, sports, and Hajj and Umrah sectors. The expansion aims to enhance the airline's reach across more than 100 destinations worldwide.

In March and June of 2025, Saudia topped global airline rankings for on-time performance according to Cirium. Cirium is a platform that specializes in tracking airline and airport operations and performance metrics.

Saudia Airlines' continued efforts to connect the world with the Kingdom are evident through these achievements and future plans. By increasing its fleet size and expanding its network reach, the airline aims to play a pivotal role in supporting Saudi Arabia’s national goals across various sectors.
