Al-Omar highlighted that these direct flights between Saudi Arabia and Russia represent a significant step in enhancing bilateral relations. He stated: "Launching direct flights between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations across economic and developmental fields, while also opening new opportunities for cultural exchange between our two nations."

Kozlov echoed this sentiment by saying: "Saudia’s direct flights between Riyadh and Moscow reflect the shared commitment of both nations to further strengthen their bilateral ties. The new route opens greater travel opportunities for citizens of both countries and helps boost tourism and cultural exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation."

Saudia plans three weekly flights from Riyadh to Moscow, expanding its network to over 100 destinations across four continents. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 goals, aiming to connect Saudi Arabia with more than 250 international destinations. Al-Omar added: "Through this new route, Saudia continues to advance one of the core pillars of its strategy by bringing the world to the Kingdom."

The airline's expansion strategy is supported by a clear fleet growth plan and efforts to enhance travel experiences. This initiative will meet growing travel demands for events in Saudi Arabia and facilitate pilgrim access through Saudia’s domestic and global network.
