Saudia Teams Up With AlUla FM To Boost Inflight Entertainment Offerings

Saudia, Saudi Arabia's national flag carrier, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) to integrate AlUla FM's digital content into its inflight entertainment system, Beyond. This collaboration was formalized through an agreement signed by Abdulrahman Altrairi, RCU's Chief Communications and PR Officer, and Khaled Tash, Saudia Group's Chief Marketing Officer. The initiative aims to broaden the audience for AlUla FM, enhancing awareness and appreciation of AlUla's rich cultural heritage among passengers and those intrigued by Saudi Arabia's offerings.

Khaled Tash expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting it as a milestone in inflight entertainment and a testament to Saudia's commitment to innovative collaborations that adhere to the highest international standards. Abdulrahman Altrairi emphasized the agreement's focus on promoting cultural heritage, broadening RCU's partnership network, and attracting a new audience to AlUla, aspiring to position it as a premier global destination.

Saudia and AlUla FM Elevate Inflight Fun

The adoption of the Beyond inflight entertainment system by Saudia aims to revolutionize the onboard experience for its passengers. The system boasts an interactive platform offering up to 5,000 hours of diverse content in more than 16 languages, catering to a wide range of preferences and age groups. This move underscores Saudia's dedication to enhancing passenger experience through technological advancements.

AlUla FM is a reflection of RCU's commitment to leveraging modern media to support various programs and initiatives that advance the Saudi media landscape. It aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by providing a voice for the people of AlUla and sharing their stories on a global scale through both recurring and seasonal programs under the theme "The Sound of Arabia".

Saudia operates 32 weekly roundtrip flights from AlUla to major cities within Saudi Arabia such as Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, in addition to international destinations like Paris. This network offers over 4,400 seats, facilitating access to AlUla for both domestic and international travelers.

The partnership between Saudia and RCU through AlUla FM is set to enrich the inflight entertainment experience for passengers while simultaneously promoting the cultural and historical significance of AlUla.
