Saudi Women In Development Conference Highlights Women's Role In Vision 2030

The National Observatory for Women at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University recently hosted the third Saudi Women in Development Conference. This event, titled "Ambitious Steps for a Promising Future," focused on the role of Saudi women in shaping a prosperous future and aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 goals. The conference took place at the university's Conference and Convention Center.

Under the patronage of Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi, the conference aimed to showcase key indicators of women's empowerment. It aligned with Vision 2030 targets by introducing national initiatives supporting women across various sectors. The event also encouraged sharing expertise and exploring innovative solutions to enhance women's roles in decision-making.

The program included five panel discussions emphasizing women's contributions to achieving Sustainable Development Goals. These discussions highlighted the importance of women's involvement in national development. On the sidelines, an exhibition featured over 25 organizations showcasing services, products, and initiatives that support women's participation in economic, social, and health development.

The National Observatory for Women has previously organized two editions of this conference in 2018 and 2019. These earlier events led to successful outcomes and partnerships. They fostered collaboration between research centers and various sectors to assess women's contributions, examine legislation, and evaluate their impact on national development.

This conference is part of broader efforts by the observatory to support Princess Nourah University's 2025 strategic plan. The plan focuses on advancing women's leadership in national development and showcasing their contributions across different sectors. The observatory aims to strengthen these efforts through ongoing initiatives.
