Saudi Women Lead In Pilgrim Services Through Makkah Route Initiative
Saudi women have significantly contributed to the service of pilgrims through the Makkah Route Initiative, a project under the Ministry of Interior within the Pilgrim Experience Program, part of Saudi Vision 2030. This initiative streamlines the pilgrims' procedures at their home country airports, ensuring smooth movement upon arrival in Saudi Arabia to their residences in Medina and Makkah.
At Adisumarmo Airport in Solo, Indonesia, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) interviewed Lance Corporal Ashwaq Abdo Al Mutahar. She stated that serving the country is a great honour for every citizen, especially when it involves serving the pilgrims. She emphasised that serving pilgrims and Umrah performers is a tradition of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adopted by its citizens as a duty to facilitate the procedures of pilgrims.

Lance Corporal Samah Yousef Haroun also expressed her happiness about serving the country as part of the Makkah Route Initiative team at Adisumarmo Airport. She noted that all members of the work teams are proud to serve the pilgrims within the initiative this year.
SPA also interviewed Lance Corporal Shorouq Ibrahim Abu Khadija, who commented that the Makkah Route Initiative aims to provide the finest services to the pilgrims. Full support and assistance are provided to them in their home countries before they leave for the Kingdom. She stressed the commitment of all team members to provide high-quality service for the comfort and safety of pilgrims.
