Saudi Water Authority Reports Pumping Over 980,000 Cubic Meters On Tarwiyah Day For Hajj Efficiency
The Saudi Water Authority announced that on Tarwiyah Day, Makkah and the holy sites received 980,633 cubic meters of water. This was part of a strategic plan to ensure efficient water supply during Hajj. From the beginning of Dhu Al-Hijjah until Tarwiyah Day, 6,899,177 cubic meters were distributed. The system's production and transportation capabilities exceeded 1.2 million cubic meters, meeting peak daily demand.
The daily pumping capacity surpassed one million cubic meters. This ensures a steady water supply through integrated system sectors. Advanced infrastructure and services enhance operational quality using modern phased techniques in network management. The National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE) implements various conservation strategies to support this effort.

On Tarwiyah Day, 4,245 laboratory tests were conducted to verify water quality and safety. This is part of a comprehensive control system aimed at sustainable service delivery. It also improves field performance and ensures adherence to safety standards. Monitoring teams continued inspections at pilgrims' camps in Mina and Arafat to assess water services.
The authority's compliance teams conducted over 5,500 inspection rounds on Tarwiyah Day. These inspections focused on evaluating the water services available to pilgrims and preparing for their arrival on Arafah Day. The aim was to ensure that all facilities met the required standards for safety and efficiency.
The integration of modern techniques in managing the network has been crucial for maintaining an abundant water supply. This approach leverages advanced infrastructure, facilities, and services to improve operational quality significantly. The efforts are supported by various conservation methods activated through MAEE.
Ensuring a reliable water supply during Hajj is vital for the safety and comfort of pilgrims. The Saudi Water Authority's comprehensive operational plan demonstrates its commitment to providing high-quality services during this important period.
