Saudi Vision 2030 Drives Ongoing Successes And Achievements For Citizens And Residents
The Senior Scholars Council convened for its 96th session at the General Presidency of Islamic Research and Ifta in Riyadh. Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh chaired the meeting, with council members and the secretary general present. He acknowledged the support from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which has empowered the council to address various matters and issue Sharia rulings.
Al Al-Sheikh expressed gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon Saudi Arabia, attributing them to the nation's foundation on the Holy Quran and Sunnah. He noted that since King Abdulaziz's era, the Kingdom has experienced unity, security, and prosperity. This stability continues under King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's leadership.

The Grand Mufti highlighted Saudi Arabia's steadfast position on the Palestinian issue. He reaffirmed support for Palestinians' right to an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. This stance reflects the Kingdom's commitment to justice under Sharia law, serving Islam and Muslims globally.
He also praised Saudi Vision 2030's achievements, which have brought widespread benefits. The vision aims to enhance prosperity while maintaining transparency and integrity. The Kingdom's efforts against corruption align with Islamic teachings that warn against such practices due to their negative impacts.
Saudi Arabia's humanitarian initiatives were also commended by Al Al-Sheikh. He highlighted the work of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, whose global efforts are well-regarded. These contributions reflect Saudi Arabia's commitment to aiding those in need worldwide.
In his speech, Al Al-Sheikh stated: "We praise Allah Almighty for the numerous blessings He has bestowed upon this blessed country. This nation was established based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed." His words underscored the religious foundation that guides Saudi Arabia’s governance.
The Grand Mufti further remarked: "In this regard, we recognize and commend the many blessings enjoyed by Saudi citizens and residents, including security, stability, progress, and development." These achievements are attributed to wise leadership grounded in Islamic principles.
The session marked a new beginning for the council with its reformation. Al Al-Sheikh congratulated members on earning royal trust. This trust enables them to continue their work in issuing Sharia rulings that align with Islamic values while addressing contemporary issues facing society.
The meeting concluded with a focus on maintaining justice under Sharia law across all aspects of life in Saudi Arabia. The council remains dedicated to upholding these principles as it navigates future challenges while serving both Islam and its followers effectively.
