AI Platform Aian Strengthens Saudi Private Capital Ecosystem Through Data-Driven Insights

Saudi Venture Capital Company announced the launch of Aian, an in-house intelligence platform built with Saudi expertise to support the Kingdom’s private capital ecosystem. The AI-powered system is designed to convert SVC’s accumulated data and experience into structured insight, guiding market-making activities and reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional private capital hub under Vision 2030.

The company stated that Aian aims to turn institutional memory into a form of compounding intelligence. The platform draws on detailed private market data and long-term historical records. It then produces insight on market dynamics, sector shifts, and capital formation, helping decisions reflect both recent market signals and deeper structural trends.

According to SVC, the platform integrates proprietary portfolio information with selected external sources to build a live picture of capital flows. Instead of depending on static reports, Aian allows continuous consolidation and validation of market activity. This approach supports more accurate analysis of how private capital is deployed across time, sectors, and stages.

Aian also introduces analytical dashboards that can be adjusted to different information needs. These dashboards provide frequent updates and predictive insights, helping SVC spot priority funding gaps and shift capital allocation when needed. They also support the design of targeted ecosystem interventions and allow policy discussions to be grounded in evidence rather than assumptions.

The platform’s features include predictive analytics for upcoming funding activity, such as expected investment rounds and estimated ticket sizes. It also provides benchmarking tools to compare performance and activity across sectors, peer institutions, and specific interventions. These functions are intended to support more precise, data-led development of Saudi Arabia’s private capital ecosystem.

Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer Nora Alsarhan said that as Saudi Arabia’s private capital market grows, clarity and reliable data become as important as capital itself. Alsarhan described Aian as an additional layer of national market infrastructure that supports transparency, strengthens institutional confidence, and enables evidence-based decisions that back long-term and sustainable private capital growth.

Alsarhan added that market making, in SVC’s view, extends beyond providing funds to shaping conditions for efficient capital flows. The next stage of market development will rely on intelligence and analytical insight alongside investment. Through Aian, SVC aims to create a knowledge backbone that improves visibility, sharpens decisions, and aligns capital formation with demonstrated insight.

Chief Strategy Officer Athary Almubarak highlighted that access to dependable insight is often the main constraint in private capital markets, especially in emerging or fast-scaling environments with uneven disclosure and fragmented institutional knowledge. Almubarak noted that inconsistent data complicates efficient capital allocation and makes it harder to attract large-scale private investment aligned with development priorities.

Almubarak explained that SVC was set up to respond to such market frictions. As a government-backed investor with a defined market-making role, the organisation focuses on more than financing. Its mandate includes helping to build the wider enabling environment in which private capital can expand on a sustainable basis, with Aian positioned as a central instrument in that effort.
