The Saudi Armed Forces, in collaboration with the US Marine Corps, have officially commenced Exercise NATIVE FURY 24 (NF 24) at the commercial port of Yanbu, situated along the Red Sea coast. This significant event, which began yesterday, saw the presence of Major General Pilot Ahmed bin Ali Al-Dubais, Commander of the Western Region, alongside numerous high-ranking officers from the Saudi Armed Forces. They were joined by Brigadier General Richard J. Quirk, Director of the US Central Command in the Kingdom, and several senior US Army officials.
Brigadier General Oqab bin Awad Al-Mutairi, commander of the NF 24 exercise, detailed that the training would progress through various stages and incorporate participation from different government agencies. The primary goals set for this exercise are to enhance coordination and partnership, facilitate the exchange of experiences between the two nations, and improve training standards through the use of military bases and road networks across the Kingdom. Furthermore, it aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to work alongside both civil and military government agencies in conducting such exercises.

The exercise is designed to cover a wide array of hypothetical scenarios, including transport and supply operations as well as live ammunition firing drills. It kicks off from Yanbu Governorate and will extend through several regions, concluding at the Prince Sultan Air Base in Al Kharj. The US forces are scheduled to complete their portion of the exercise in the United Arab Emirates.
This collaborative military exercise underscores the ongoing commitment between Saudi Arabia and the United States to strengthen their defense partnership. By engaging in such comprehensive training operations, both nations aim to elevate their military readiness and operational capabilities, ensuring they are well-prepared to face any challenges that may arise.
