Saudi And Turkish Defense Ministers Meet To Strengthen Bilateral Relations And Regional Peace
Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler welcomed Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in Ankara on Tuesday. The meeting took place at the Turkish Ministry of Defense headquarters during Prince Khalid's official visit to Türkiye.
Upon arrival, Prince Khalid was greeted with an official reception ceremony. The national anthems of both countries were played, and honor guards were displayed. The ministers exchanged greetings and handshakes with each other's delegations before taking a commemorative photo. Prince Khalid also signed the guestbook.

The ministers held an expanded bilateral meeting attended by delegations from both ministries. They discussed various aspects of Saudi-Turkish relations, focusing on enhancing and developing existing and future cooperation between their defense ministries.
Efforts to achieve peace and joint endeavors for regional and global security and stability were also key topics of discussion. Both sides expressed a commitment to working together towards these goals.
The reception was attended by several high-ranking officials from both countries. From Saudi Arabia, attendees included Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Minister of Defense Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Khaled bin Hussein Al-Bayari, Saudi Ambassador to Türkiye Fahad bin Assaad Bin Abdulkareem Abualnasr, and Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Defense Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif.
Representing Türkiye were Chief of the Turkish General Staff General Metin Gürak and Turkish Deputy Minister of National Defense Bilal Durdali. Their presence underscored the importance both nations place on their defense relationship.
The meeting highlighted the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, emphasizing mutual interests in defense cooperation and regional stability. Both ministers reiterated their commitment to further strengthening these relations through continued dialogue and collaboration.
