Saudi-Tunisia Investment Partnerships Strengthened At Riyadh Forum To Boost Bilateral Trade
The Saudi-Tunisian Business Forum in Riyadh on Monday concentrated on expanding investment links and trade between Saudi Arabia and Tunisia, held alongside the 12th session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee, and aimed to support Saudi Vision 2030 while backing broader sustainable development plans in both countries through structured economic cooperation.
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources organised the Saudi-Tunisian Business Forum with the Ministry of Investment and the Federation of Saudi Chambers, bringing together Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, Tunisia's Minister of Economy and Planning Samir Abdelhafidh, official delegations, and more than 300 representatives from public and private institutions in both states.

Discussions at the Saudi-Tunisian Business Forum presented the gathering as a central channel for building practical investment partnerships, widening cooperation prospects, and increasing bilateral trade volumes, while the event also supported the work of the 12th session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee by turning dialogue on economic integration into more detailed sector plans based on each country’s competitive strengths.
Bandar Alkhorayef, in opening remarks at the Saudi-Tunisian Business Forum, underlined the depth of Saudi-Tunisian relations, recalling long-standing ties shaped by the leaderships of both nations, and explained that high-level reciprocal visits had given these relations extra economic momentum by contributing to visible growth in trade flows over recent years.
Alkhorayef told the Saudi-Tunisian Business Forum that governments in both countries were responsible for creating an enabling framework, including supportive legislation and simpler procedures, while the private sector needed to take the lead in construction, innovation, and converting these enablers into viable investment projects that generate employment, with ongoing success stories already showing progress toward deeper economic integration.
Addressing participants at the Saudi-Tunisian Business Forum, Alkhorayef pointed to advanced industries, tourism, renewable energy, and mining as priority fields for joint ventures, stating: "We are placing our bet today on investors, businesspeople, and private sector leaders in both countries to drive growth in promising sectors, including advanced industries, tourism, renewable energy, and mining," Alkhorayef emphasized.
Officials at the Saudi-Tunisian Business Forum said the shared vision of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia centred on building effective investment partnerships that open new paths for cooperation and integration, support national development agendas, and increase bilateral trade, with the Saudi Press Agency reporting the forum at 19:52 local time, corresponding to 16:52 GMT.
