Tourism Minister Reviews Preparations For Saudi's Winter 2024-2025 Program

On Wednesday, a workshop was held under the patronage of Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, the Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA). The event brought together representatives from both private and public sectors to review achievements in tourism, discuss collaboration opportunities, and prepare for the upcoming Saudi winter season.

The Saudi Winter 2024-2025 program is set to launch across seven destinations: Riyadh, Jeddah, AlUla, the Red Sea, the Eastern Province, Hail, and Madinah. This program will feature a variety of activities including desert and beach camping, sports competitions, cultural events, entertainment shows, and shopping exhibitions. Additionally, there will be a focus on developing unique offers and packages in collaboration with the commercial sector to meet domestic tourists' expectations while targeting regional and global markets.

Saudi Winter Program 2024-2025 Plans

Minister Al-Khateeb highlighted the significant support from leadership for the tourism sector. He noted that over 700 partners participated in this year's Saudi Summer program. "The tourism sector is receiving unprecedented support from the wise leadership, with close collaboration between the Saudi tourism system and private sector partners," he said.

The minister also mentioned that this year's Saudi Winter program includes several global promotional campaigns aimed at various international markets. Fahd Hamidaddin, STA Chief Executive and board member, expressed pride in the achievements of the Saudi Summer program. "We are proud of the achievements and results of the Saudi Summer program so far," he said. He emphasized that partnerships with both private and public sectors aim to offer high-quality products during the upcoming winter season.

Seasonal Events and Activities

Hamidaddin indicated that major seasonal events and activities are planned for this winter. These include tourism activities in the Red Sea region and products reflecting the Kingdom’s authentic heritage. He said these efforts aim to provide a diverse range of high-quality experiences for tourists.

The workshop underscored areas where public-private partnerships can enhance tourism offerings. It also reviewed preparations for upcoming events designed to attract both domestic and international visitors. The collaborative approach aims to ensure a successful winter season by meeting high standards in hospitality and entertainment.

The concluding remarks at the workshop focused on setting new records in tourism through innovative programs. The emphasis was on creating memorable experiences that align with global trends while showcasing Saudi Arabia's unique cultural heritage.
