Saudi Tourism Authority Engages Russian Market Through Promotional Meeting In Moscow
The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) recently organised a promotional event in Moscow, collaborating with several partners. This gathering included officials from both nations and key players in Russia's tourism industry. The focus was on cooperation and showcasing Saudi Arabia's readiness to welcome visitors from Russia.
CEO and Board Member of the STA, Fahd Hamidaddin, emphasised the significance of the Russian market for Saudi Arabia. He noted that this meeting highlights the strong collaboration between the two countries in tourism. "The Kingdom is fully prepared to welcome tourists from Russia," he stated, pointing out efforts to simplify procedures and enhance services.

The meeting aimed to attract new international tourist segments from key markets. It sought to establish agreements, memoranda of understanding, and strategic partnerships with leading global tourism companies. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to elevate Saudi Arabia's standing on the global tourism map.
In June, STA signed agreements with Yandex and Avia Sales to improve the Russian tourist experience in Saudi Arabia. These partnerships aim to ensure a smooth, enjoyable, and safe journey for visitors from Russia.
The promotional event also highlighted Saudi tourist destinations' readiness for Russian visitors. The initiative builds on the success of the "This Land is Calling" campaign targeting Russia and several European Union countries. This campaign aims to boost awareness and interest in visiting Saudi Arabia.
Hamidaddin expressed excitement about welcoming Russian tourists to experience Saudi hospitality and culture. He mentioned that various packages and offerings have been tailored to meet their preferences.
Enhancing Global Tourism Presence
The STA's ongoing efforts are designed to strengthen Saudi Arabia's position as a prominent destination on the global tourism stage. By engaging with international markets like Russia, the authority aims to increase tourist inflow and diversify its visitor base.
This meeting is part of a larger strategy by STA to attract tourists worldwide by forming strategic alliances with major tourism companies globally.
Saudi Arabia continues its commitment to enhancing its appeal as a tourist destination through these initiatives. The country is eager to showcase its rich culture, heritage, and modern attractions to visitors from around the world.
