Saudi-Tajik Delegation Discusses Strengthening Of Bilateral Ties And Cooperation
A delegation from the Saudi-Tajik Parliamentary Friendship Committee, led by Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Jarbaa, visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tajikistan. They met with Deputy Foreign Minister Farrukh Sharifzadeh. The minister praised the strong relations between Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan and acknowledged Saudi Arabia's significant global role.
Dr. Al-Jarbaa expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the deep ties between the two nations. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations across various levels and other pertinent topics. The meeting underscored the importance of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan.

The delegation also met with Matlouba Khan Staryan, Tajikistan's Minister of Culture, along with senior ministry officials. Staryan highlighted the depth of cultural relations and commended Saudi Arabia's influential role internationally. They discussed shared interests, emphasizing the significance of cultural heritage and exploring ways to enhance cultural cooperation.
During their visit to Tajikistan, the delegation toured the Norak Hydroelectric facility. They received a briefing on its construction stages, dams, efforts, works, and services provided in electrical energy production. This visit showcased Tajikistan's advancements in hydroelectric power generation.
Al-Jarbaa held a meeting with Kamaluddin Muminzadeh, Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee of Tajikistan. They discussed mutual interests related to boosting tourism cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan. The discussions aimed at identifying areas for collaboration to promote tourism in both countries.
The delegation also engaged with Sultan Rahimzadeh, Chairman of the Investment and State Funds Management Committee of Tajikistan. They explored economic cooperation opportunities between Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan. The meeting highlighted Saudi Arabia's economic achievements under Kingdom Vision 2030, focusing on goals achieved in economic and investment sectors.
Economic Collaboration
The discussions with Rahimzadeh covered several topics of mutual interest in economic fields. Both sides looked into ways to strengthen economic ties further. The meeting underscored Saudi Arabia's successful economic strategies and their impact on bilateral relations.
The meetings were attended by Walid bin Abdulrahman Al-Rishaidan, the Saudi Ambassador to Tajikistan. His presence reinforced the commitment to fostering strong diplomatic relations between both countries.
