Minister Al-Khateeb Launches Saudi Summer Tours

In 2024, Taif welcomed over 3.6 million domestic and international tourists, reflecting a 9% increase from 2023. The annual tourism spending reached SAR3.4 billion. Additionally, 266 licenses were issued to tourism establishments by that year’s end. By June 2025, hotel rooms in Taif numbered 10,220.

The "Saudi Summer 2025" program underscores the robust nature of Saudi Arabia's tourism sector. It offers more than 250 exclusive deals developed with over 200 private-sector partners. To boost connectivity between tourist spots, over one million additional airline seats have been made available through partnerships to meet rising demand for Saudi tourism.

Globally recognized as the fastest-growing tourist destination, Saudi Arabia recorded over 115.9 million visits in 2024. Tourism spending exceeded SAR283.8 billion during this period. In early 2025, Saudi Arabia led global rankings for year-on-year growth in international tourism revenue.

The Kingdom aims to attract 150 million visitors by 2030 through enhanced infrastructure and diverse experiences. Comprehensive air connectivity and integrated travel facilitation are also part of this strategy to draw more tourists.

Al-Khateeb's visit highlights ongoing efforts to elevate Saudi Arabia's tourism profile on a global scale while enhancing local offerings for visitors.
