Saudi Crown Prince And Spanish PM Review Ties And Regional Peace Efforts
Today, at the Royal Court at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, a significant meeting took place between His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, Pedro Sanchez. This high-profile gathering underscored the deep-rooted bilateral relations between the two nations, focusing on enhancing cooperation across various sectors and discussing pressing regional and international issues.
The audience began with HRH the Crown Prince extending a warm welcome to Prime Minister Sanchez and his delegation, expressing hopes for a pleasant stay in the Kingdom. The Spanish Prime Minister reciprocated with gratitude, appreciating the hospitality and warm reception provided by his hosts. The discussions that ensued covered a broad spectrum of topics, including the enhancement of fraternal ties and cooperation in different fields.

One of the critical areas of discussion was the recent developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings. Both sides expressed concern over the serious developments there and discussed international efforts aimed at halting Israeli military operations. They also talked about addressing the security and humanitarian consequences arising from these operations. The dialogue extended to advancing the peace process based on resolutions from the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and General Assembly (UNGA), as well as the Arab Peace Initiative. This initiative seeks a just and comprehensive solution to establish an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of international community involvement in pressuring Israel to cease its military actions in Gaza, comply with international laws, and ensure timely humanitarian aid access to Gaza.
