Saudi Scouts Deploy To Support Worshippers At The Two Holy Mosques During Ramadan
Members of the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association are continuing organised volunteer work during Ramadan 1447 AH. They are stationed at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. Public service camps there support Umrah performers and worshippers. The activities highlight Saudi Arabia’s role in promoting peace, humanitarian values, and structured volunteer work.
More than 750 scouts and scout leaders are taking part in the volunteer programme. Their work continues until the end of Ramadan 1447 AH. Over 400 participants are deployed in Makkah, with more than 350 in Madinah. They operate as one team and present an image of Saudi youth in humanitarian service.

Participants carry out several tasks alongside government agencies at the Two Holy Mosques. They assist the Special Forces for Hajj and Umrah Security within the mosque sites. Scouts also support security patrols in the central areas of Makkah and Madinah. Their presence helps organise visitor movement and manage entry and exit points during busy periods.
They provide on-site guidance with the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque. Scouts also work with the same authority at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. They explain directions, answer questions, and help visitors who become lost. These efforts smooth crowd movement and support better access to services during peak worship times.
The public service camps form part of the global "Messengers of Peace" initiative. This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals. The programme focuses on developing innovative youth leadership and strengthening peace education. It also deepens values of sustainability and active citizenship. Through this organised work, Saudi Scouts highlight national backing for peace and community service.
