Saudi Sama'a Volunteer Program For Cochlear Implantation Launched In Tunisia By KSrelief
Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, an advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of KSrelief, recently launched the "Saudi Sama'a" volunteer program in Tunisia. This initiative focuses on cochlear implantation and auditory rehabilitation. The event saw attendance from Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr, diplomatic corps members, representatives from various organizations, and media personnel.
During his speech, Dr. Al Rabeeah conveyed greetings from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He expressed joy over Saudi medical professionals' involvement in this project in Tunisia, highlighting the strong ties between the two nations. He emphasized that humanitarian work is a core aspect of Saudi Arabia's identity.

KSrelief has been instrumental in executing 4,000 projects across 106 countries with an investment nearing $8 billion. Dr. Abdullah noted that humanitarian efforts go beyond financial aid; they embody a vision that brings hope to those in need and strengthens global solidarity. These initiatives foster connections among people worldwide.
The "Saudi Sama'a" program is one of KSrelief's most impactful initiatives. It aims to restore hearing for children, allowing them to hear their mothers' voices for the first time. This program instills hope in families as they witness their children speak their first words, marking a significant human achievement.
The launch event marked the expansion of this pioneering program through four volunteer initiatives in Tunisia. Plans include performing 50 cochlear implants and training 50 families on using headphones effectively. This ensures the sustainability of the program's impact by empowering families with necessary skills.
Dr. Al Rabeeah highlighted plans to establish connections between health professionals in Saudi Arabia and Tunisia. This collaboration aims to facilitate experience exchange, enhancing healthcare services in both countries through shared knowledge and expertise.
The event underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to humanitarian work worldwide, reflecting its dedication to improving lives through meaningful initiatives like "Saudi Sama'a." The program not only restores hearing but also builds bridges between nations through shared goals and cooperation.
