Saudi Reef Initiates International Training Program To Enhance Agricultural Skills In Saudi Arabia

The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program, known as Saudi Reef, has initiated an international training program in Morocco. This initiative aims to enhance the skills of Saudi agricultural extension specialists by exposing them to the latest advancements in agricultural extension. The program is part of Saudi Reef's efforts to improve productivity and sustainability in farming practices.

During their visit, the delegation explored the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA). This centre collaborates with both local and international bodies to advance agricultural production and bolster food security. It also aids farmers in tackling climate-related challenges. ICARDA officials provided insights into various departments such as crop disease management, seed inspection, entomology, and pest control.

The delegation also visited the National Office of Agricultural Consulting in Morocco. This public institution is committed to offering extension services that encourage the adoption of modern agricultural technologies. It supports sustainable farming practices aimed at fostering rural development. The office plays a crucial role in promoting innovative techniques among local farmers.

In addition to these visits, the delegation toured the National School of Agriculture.
