Saudi Red Sea Authority Issues 12 New Licenses To Enhance Coastal Tourism Sector Growth

The Saudi Red Sea Authority has recently granted 12 new licenses to various entities involved in tourism shipping, cruise operations, and marine tourism. These licenses are part of the authority's strategy to advance the coastal tourism sector. Over the past two months, licenses were issued for tourism shipping agents, cruise ship operators, and marine construction.

Among the newly licensed entities is Deep Seas Shipping Agency, which received a tourism shipping agent license. Additionally, three marine tourism marina operators have been licensed: Sindalah Marina in NEOM, Dolphin Beach Resort in Yanbu, and Jeddah Municipality Marina. These developments are expected to enhance the infrastructure supporting marine tourism.

New Licenses Boost Coastal Tourism in Saudi Arabia

The authority also approved a permit for constructing a marine tourism marina on Sindalah Island in NEOM. This aligns with their mission to regulate maritime activities by setting standards for marine tourism marinas. A cruise ship operator license was granted to Red Sea Cruises (Cruise Saudi), along with a route license for cruise ships.

Furthermore, five technical recreational tourism licenses were issued. These include four for yacht companies and one for AROYA Cruise Limited. Such initiatives are designed to attract tourists and investors by promoting coastal tourism activities and ensuring a safe environment.

The issuance of these licenses is seen as a significant step towards developing Saudi Arabia's coastal tourism sector. By creating an attractive coastal environment, these efforts aim to draw tourists and investments to Red Sea destinations. This move supports national economic growth by fostering increased tourism activities.

The authority's commitment to regulating maritime and tourism activities ensures that the Red Sea remains a leading global tourist destination. The new licenses reflect this dedication by enhancing safety and suitability for tourists visiting the region.

These efforts contribute significantly to building a promising coastal tourism sector in Saudi Arabia. By attracting investments and investors, the authority aims to reinforce its position as a premier destination for global tourists seeking unique experiences along the Red Sea coast.
