Saudi Red Crescent Debuts Air Ambulance Service For Hajj Pilgrims

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) has introduced an air ambulance service from the towers surrounding the Grand Mosque. This initiative was launched in the presence of the Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SRCA, Fahad Al-Jalajel. The service aims to enhance the Kingdom's preparations for the Hajj season of 1445 AH.

The air ambulance service is designed to reach patients quickly in various locations, offering specialized emergency medical services and transporting patients to specialized health facilities efficiently. This initiative is part of an integrated health system that begins with receiving an emergency call and ends with transferring the patient to a specialized health facility.

This year, SRCA is deploying seven helicopters in different areas surrounding the Grand Mosque and other holy sites. These helicopters are strategically positioned to ensure they can reach all patients and injured individuals promptly. The launch of this service in Makkah is considered crucial for reaching pilgrims throughout their Hajj journey.
