Saudi Red Crescent Authority In Madinah Rolls Out Emergency Medical Plan For Hajj 1445H
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) in Madinah has unveiled its operational plan for the Hajj season of 1445H, covering the entire region in accordance with approved guidelines. According to SRCA Madinah branch Director General Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Zahrani, the plan aims to provide emergency medical and ambulance services to visitors of the Prophet's Mosque and the roads leading to Madinah. This will continue until the 15th of Muharram 1446H.
The plan is being implemented by 45 regional ambulance centres, comprising 71 fully equipped and advanced ambulance teams supported by the newest vehicles in the region and full readiness for air ambulance services. Over 690 employees from various classifications and positions will be involved in carrying out the plan.

This year, the operational force at the Prophet's Mosque and the surrounding courtyards will be increased in proportion to the number of worshippers as needed. Additionally, approximately 500 male and female volunteers will work in the Prophet's Mosque, providing ambulance coverage in all its sections and courtyards around the clock, equipped with necessary training courses before the start of the Hajj season.
Command-and-Control Centre
The plan includes a command-and-control centre in the region with ambulance and medical guidance services. Reports can be submitted by calling 997 or through the ASEFNE application, which contains nine languages. The report is then passed on to the ambulance teams closest to the case through the electronic paramedic program.
Handling Emergencies
The case is immediately handled, assessed, and treated, and the nearest hospital is contacted. The health facility is provided with a complete ambulance report electronically, and all details of the report are followed up through the electronic field commander program. Instructions are issued to all field workers through this program as quickly as possible.
