Saudi Pavilion Highlights Wonders Of Arabia At Expo 2025 Osaka With Cultural Experiences
The Saudi pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka provided a rich glimpse into the Kingdom's tourism and cultural offerings through the "Wonders of Arabia" exhibition. This event, held from July 10 to 16, was organized in partnership with the Saudi Tourism Authority. The pavilion aimed to connect visitors with Saudi Arabia's diverse attractions.
Saudi Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner-General for the Kingdom's pavilion, Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, highlighted Saudi Arabia's rapid growth as a tourist destination. He attributed this to its natural beauty and cultural richness, including a vast 1,800 km coastline and vibrant cities hosting international events. Dr. Binzagr described the pavilion as a link between Osaka and Expo 2030 Riyadh, inviting global tourists to discover Saudi treasures.

CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, Fahd Hamidaddin, emphasized that Japanese tourists are particularly interested in genuine cultural experiences. He pointed out that the exhibition coincided with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan. Hamidaddin noted a 7% rise in Japanese visitors last year and aims to maintain this trend by offering experiences that showcase Saudi hospitality.
The exhibition featured interactive elements starting with a welcome area that highlighted traditional Saudi hospitality. Visitors were treated to live performances and craft demonstrations by artists from the Heritage Commission and Music Commission. Additionally, ten Saudi designers showcased their creations, while local artworks were available for purchase.
Guests at the pavilion could enjoy panoramic views of major tourist spots within Saudi Arabia. Traditional performances captivated audiences, while a cultural photography room offered unique insights into the Kingdom's heritage. A sports center added another layer of engagement for visitors.
Promotional booths distributed gifts that embodied the spirit and diversity of Saudi Arabia. These offerings aimed to leave a lasting impression on visitors about the Kingdom's rich culture and welcoming nature.
The "Wonders of Arabia" exhibition served as an excellent platform for showcasing Saudi heritage and fostering international interest in its tourism sector. By highlighting both modern attractions and traditional elements, it successfully attracted attention from Japanese travelers seeking authentic experiences.
