The Saudi pavilion has been inaugurated at the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, known as Airshow China 2024. This significant aviation event is being held from November 12 to 17 in Zhuhai, China. Eng. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), attended the launch alongside key figures like Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili and Saudi Ambassador to China Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al-Harbi.
Al-Ohali highlighted that this marks Saudi Arabia's first strategic participation in China, aiming to boost its global presence in military industries. He stated, "this strategic participation, occurring for the first time in China, aims to enhance the Kingdom's global presence in the military industries sector and to solidify its position as one of the fastest-growing economies among the G20 nations." The initiative also seeks to forge international partnerships and attract global investors.

The Saudi pavilion is organized by GAMI and displays military products, focusing on aviation advancements. It showcases achievements by government entities and national companies in military industries. The goal is to localize over half of government spending on military equipment by 2030, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives within the military sector.
Several government bodies are participating alongside GAMI at Airshow China 2024. These include the Ministry of Investment and the General Authority for Defense Development. National companies such as WAKEB Company for Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems, Milestone Aviation Services, Homat Al-Watan Company, and the National Company for Mechanical Systems are also involved.
GAMI collaborates with various partners, including supportive government entities, to empower national companies and international firms in military industries. This collaboration aims to enhance defense capabilities and create an investment-friendly environment. It focuses on leveraging promising investment opportunities within the sector.
The initiative also aims to localize cutting-edge technologies in aviation, contributing significantly to Saudi Arabia's economic growth. By doing so, it strengthens the country's defense independence and security capabilities.
This participation underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to developing its military industry while promoting a welcoming message to investors worldwide. It highlights efforts towards achieving key objectives set out in Saudi Vision 2030.
