Saudi Pavilion Inaugurated At Expo 2025 Osaka By Culture Minister Prince Bader Bin Abdullah

Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Steering Committee for Saudi Arabia's participation in international expos, inaugurated the Saudi pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. This pavilion, second in size only to Japan's, invites visitors to delve into Saudi Arabia's rich history, vibrant present, and promising future.

The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Minister of Culture Hamed Fayez, Assistant Minister Rakan Al-Touq, and Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Japan Ghazi Faisal Binzagr. A group of cultural officials and diplomats also witnessed the event. The Saudi flag was raised on the expo's first day with the ambassador present.

Inauguration of Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025

During his speech at the opening ceremony, Prince Bader expressed delight in inaugurating the pavilion under the theme "Discover Saudi Arabia." He highlighted shared qualities and harmony between Saudi Arabia and Japan. "We are delighted to inaugurate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, which operates under the slogan 'Discover Saudi Arabia.' Through the pavilion's ambitious design, we highlight the many shared qualities and harmony between the Kingdom and Japan," he stated.

Prince Bader thanked Japan for its excellent organization of Expo 2025 Osaka. He appreciated their hospitality and cooperation in supporting the Kingdom’s pavilion. He noted that this collaboration highlights a special relationship as both nations celebrate 70 years of diplomatic ties.

The pavilion offers a multi-sensory experience showcasing Saudi Arabia’s transformational journey under Vision 2030. It emphasizes enhancing quality of life through innovation and technology. Visitors can explore Saudi cities and villages through a spatial experience that embodies rich cultural heritage.

Designed by renowned architects from Foster + Partners, the pavilion is constructed from lightweight Saudi stone. It represents Saudi Arabia’s goals of building sustainable communities. The design reflects a commitment to modernization while preserving cultural authenticity.

Prince Bader invited visitors to explore Saudi heritage and culture open to global audiences. "Discover the authenticity of our heritage, our ambitious transformations, and our rich culture that is open to the world," he said.
