Saudi Pavilion At IDEX 2025 Showcases Military Technologies And Strategic Partnerships
The Saudi pavilion, organised by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), has begun its activities at the International Defense Exhibition and Conference "IDEX 2025" at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). This event is under the patronage of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. Governor of GAMI Eng. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Ohali was present at the launch, alongside Lt.-Gen. Mohammad Bin Abdulrahman Bin Hamed Al-Gharibi, Chief of Staff of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Angari, Saudi ambassador to the UAE, and various officials, international investors, and decision-makers in the sector.
Eng. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Ohali stressed the importance of Saudi Arabia's participation in IDEX 2025 as a premier global platform for military technology. He highlighted the need for international partnerships to boost Saudi defense and security capabilities. The pavilion serves as a strategic avenue to demonstrate Saudi Arabia's dedication to advancing its defense sector and enhancing national skills. This effort aligns with the ambitious goal of localising over 50% of military spending by 2030.

The Saudi pavilion showcases cutting-edge technologies and advanced systems from major national companies in military and defense sectors. This highlights significant progress in localising military industries in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives. The pavilion features locally developed defense technologies across military, defense, and security industries. It presents a range of military products that reflect advancements within Saudi Arabia's military industries.
During IDEX 2025, GAMI signed a cooperation agreement with Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration on government quality assurance. Eng. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Ohali and Seok Jong-gun, Minister of Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration, attended this signing. The agreement aims to improve assurance and reliability of defense products under purchasing operations according to both countries' laws.
This agreement signifies both parties' commitment to enhancing joint cooperation in defense industry and technology for mutual national interests. They plan to broaden cooperation by sharing experiences and best practices in government quality assurance for defense products and services.
The pavilion includes GAMI, General Authority for Defense Development (GADD), World Defense Show (WDS), and several national companies like Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) and National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS). Other participants include Middle East Propulsion Company (MEPC), Saudi Chemical Company Holding (SCCH), AlKorayef Group, Life Shield Military Industries (LIFE SHIELD), Emaan International, QUDRA Industrial Company, and Saudi Company for Aircraft Maintenance and Preparation (GDC).
