Saudi Pavilion At Expo 2025 Osaka Attracts Record Visitor Numbers And Global Recognition
Saudi Arabia's pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka concluded its participation with a closing ceremony attended by officials and guests from various countries. The event, held from April 13 to October 13, showcased Saudi Arabia's transformation and cultural exchange. Dr. Ghazi Binzagr, Saudi Ambassador to Japan, highlighted the pavilion's role in offering a close experience of the Kingdom.
The pavilion attracted over three million visitors who engaged with Saudi culture through unique events and performances. It received international acclaim, with CNN ranking it among the top 10 pavilions to visit. The architecture of the pavilion, one of the largest at the expo, embodied sustainability and community empowerment using lightweight Saudi stone.

Visitors enjoyed interactive exhibits on Saudi achievements in culture, clean energy, technology, tourism, space exploration, human potential, and sustainability. The design celebrated Saudi cities' spirit and rich cultural heritage. Ahead of the expo, cultural tours were held in seven Japanese cities to introduce Saudi cuisine, music, and hospitality.
These tours took place from February to March in Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Tokyo. They set the stage for the pavilion’s grand opening by bringing Saudi flavours and sounds to Japan. The pavilion symbolized a journey of innovation and cultural exchange between Saudi Arabia and the global community.
With Expo 2025 Osaka concluded, Saudi Arabia is now preparing for Expo 2030 Riyadh under the theme "Foresight for Tomorrow." This upcoming event aims to build international cooperation and foster innovation. It is expected to feature participation from over 195 countries and 29 international organizations.
The focus will be on addressing global challenges and presenting innovative solutions for a sustainable future. Dr. Binzagr expressed gratitude to Japan for its hospitality during Expo 2025 Osaka and hopes to welcome visitors again at Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
The pavilion's success at Expo 2025 Osaka highlights Saudi Arabia's commitment to showcasing its culture and achievements on an international stage while fostering global partnerships.
