Saudi Pavilion At Expo 2025 Osaka Achieves Milestone With Over 2 Million Visitors
The Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has reached a significant milestone, attracting over 2 million visitors since its opening in April. As the largest foreign pavilion at the expo, it is second in size only to Japan's own pavilion. This achievement highlights the pavilion's appeal and the strong interest in Saudi Arabia's culture and innovations.
Visitor numbers peaked on June 17, with a record 24,142 people visiting in one day. The pavilion's restaurant and café, Irth, also proved popular, serving more than 18,000 guests and over 120,000 cups of coffee. These figures underscore the pavilion's role as a major attraction within the expo.

The pavilion offers an immersive experience that captures the essence of Saudi Arabia through its exhibitions and open spaces. Visitors can enjoy Saudi music and various artistic performances. Over 2,400 activities have been hosted, with 2,000 taking place within the pavilion itself and another 400 at other major expo venues.

The Saudi Pavilion has received international recognition for its innovative design. It was awarded Gold by the New York Architectural Design Awards in the Cultural Architecture – Interactive and Experiential Spaces category. This accolade highlights its global significance as a model of architectural excellence.
Saudi Ambassador to Japan and commissioner general of the pavilion, Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, expressed pride in surpassing the 2 million visitor mark. He stated that this achievement reflects Saudi Arabia’s strong relations with Japan and other countries worldwide. Binzagr noted that the pavilion embodies the Kingdom’s rich culture and showcases its ongoing transformation.
