Saudi Pavilion Concludes Successful Participation At IDEX 2025 With Key Strategic Partnerships

The Saudi pavilion, managed by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), wrapped up its participation at the International Defense Exhibition and Conference "IDEX 2025" with notable strategic achievements. This event, held over five days in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, saw extensive involvement from both Arab and international entities.

Governor of GAMI Eng. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Ohali highlighted the success of the Saudi pavilion at IDEX 2025, stating that it underscores the importance of global partnerships and strategic gains that will bolster the Kingdom's standing as a leading industrial power in the sector. He noted, "The Saudi pavilion witnessed numerous partnerships that will contribute to the development of national industrial capabilities and the exchange of expertise with a range of Arab and international companies in the field of military industries."

Saudi Pavilion's Success at IDEX 2025

During IDEX 2025, GAMI signed a cooperation agreement on government quality assurance with Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration. This agreement was signed in the presence of Eng. Al-Ohali and Seok Jong-gun, Minister of the Korean Defense Acquisition Program Administration. The Saudi pavilion also facilitated several agreements between Saudi companies and major international firms across various fields.

These agreements aim to support investment, facilitate technology transfer, and localize technology within Saudi Arabia's domestic market. They align with Saudi Vision 2030's goal to localize 50% of military equipment and services expenditure by 2030. The pavilion attracted significant interest from researchers, specialists, and investors in military industries and defense technologies.

The Saudi pavilion received considerable attention from visitors eager to learn about developments in the Kingdom's defense industry. Visitors explored regulatory work by GAMI, policies, incentives for investors, and local capabilities meeting military equipment needs. High-ranking officials, dignitaries, and leaders from around the world visited during exhibition days.

The participating governmental and private entities showcased their latest achievements in military industries. The pavilion included GAMI, General Authority for Defense Development (GADD), World Defense Show (WDS), and several national companies like Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) and National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS).

Localisation Efforts

GAMI collaborates with supportive governmental entities to empower national companies and enhance international firms' presence in military industries. This initiative aims to localize military industries, strengthen local production capabilities, and prepare the sector as a key contributor to the national economy.

Through international participation, GAMI seeks new cooperation avenues in military industries. It fosters strategic partnerships contributing to Saudi Arabia's defense independence while showcasing achievements in this vital sector.

The Saudi pavilion at IDEX 2025 demonstrated significant progress in fostering global partnerships. These efforts are crucial for enhancing national industrial capabilities while supporting strategic objectives outlined in Vision 2030.
