Saudi, Pakistani Ministers Chair Investment Council To Strengthen Economic Ties
In a significant move to bolster economic ties, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), formed by Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, convened in Islamabad. The meeting was co-chaired by Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and his Pakistani counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar. The Saudi delegation was comprised of notable figures including Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef, Advisor to the Royal Court Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri, and Assistant Minister of Investment Ibrahim Al-Mubarak. Senior officials from the ministries of foreign affairs and energy, alongside representatives from the Public Investment Fund and the Saudi Fund for Development, were also in attendance.

Prince Faisal extolled the enduring relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, noting that this visit was a continuation of discussions initiated by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan in Makkah. The aim is to enhance investment opportunities across various sectors and provide support to investors from these "brotherly countries".
The agenda for this pivotal meeting focused on evaluating strategies to amplify economic cooperation and trade between the two nations.
