Saudi Ministry Of Islamic Affairs Hosts Iftar For 2,200 In Padang

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance hosted a significant iftar banquet in Padang, Indonesia, bringing together more than 2,200 individuals for the breaking of the fast. This event saw the attendance of notable figures including Hansastri, the Regional Secretary of West Sumatra Province; Ahmed Al-Hazmi, the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Jakarta; and several esteemed Islamic leaders. The banquet forms a part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Gift Program, aimed at providing iftar meals to those observing Ramadan.

The initiative, which spans across various Indonesian provinces this year, also includes the distribution of dates as part of the iftar provision. Hansastri extended heartfelt thanks to the Saudi government and its leaders for their annual organization of this program in Indonesia. The gesture of distributing dates was particularly appreciated by those in attendance.

Iftar for 2,200 in Padang by Saudi Ministry

Participants at the banquet voiced their gratitude towards the Kingdom for its role in facilitating this program, highlighting how it contributes to the happiness of the Indonesian people during Ramadan. They commended the Saudi government's ongoing support for Islam and Muslims worldwide and its dedication to championing their causes. Prayers were offered for the wellbeing and protection of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.

The ministry announced that these efforts are part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Gift Programs initiated on the first day of Ramadan. The comprehensive program includes distributing 20 tons of dates and providing iftar meals to approximately 40,000 men and women across Indonesia, demonstrating a significant commitment to supporting Muslim communities during the holy month.
