Saudi Media And Communications Ministers Explore AI At FOMEX Pavilion
At the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and digital solutions into public services, the Ministry of Interior showcased its innovative initiatives at the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX). This event, a key component of the third edition of the Saudi Media Forum, was held in Riyadh and saw significant participation from various sectors. The forum is a collaborative effort between the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) and the Saudi Journalists Association, highlighting the evolving landscape of media in the kingdom.
During their visit to the Ministry of Interior's pavilion, Minister of Media, Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari, and Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, were introduced to several groundbreaking initiatives. Among these were applications of AI and digital solutions aimed at enhancing the experience of pilgrims. A notable mention was the 'Makkah Route' Initiative, a key component of the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030. This initiative is designed to streamline and enrich the pilgrimage process for millions visiting the holy cities.

The ministers also explored various other services including the National Center for Security Operations, tourist visa processes, efforts to enhance traffic safety and quality of life, and electronic services available through the "Absher" electronic platform. The Ministry of Interior's participation in FOMEX underscores its commitment to leveraging technology in improving public services and security operations.
The exhibition provided a platform for the Ministry of Interior to highlight its role in public security, showcasing services from the Directorate of Public Security, the General Directorate of Passports, and its media activities related to security.
