Saudi Housing Minister Launches Guarantee Product To Boost Real Estate Supply
The Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, has introduced the first product from "Damanat" Company. This company offers financing for real estate developers working on off-plan projects (OPDG) and is licensed by the Insurance Authority under identification number F-DMNT-1-C-24-00. The launch event saw attendance from key figures, including Mansour bin Saeed bin Madi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Mortgage Guarantees Services Company (Damanat), Engineer Naji Al-Faisal Al-Tamimi, CEO of the Insurance Authority, and Hossam bin Yusuf Radwan, CEO of Damanat.
This new initiative aims to make homeownership more accessible for first-time buyers by motivating real estate developers to increase the availability of housing units. It also seeks to expedite the goals of the Housing Program, which aligns with Vision 2030.
