Saudi Human Resources Minister Launches Digital Initiatives At LEAP 2024
Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, has officially launched a series of digital products and services aimed at advancing the ministry's digital transformation efforts. This significant step was taken during his visit to the Saudi Digital Pavilion at the third edition of the LEAP 2024 technological conference. The event saw the presence of the governor of the Digital Government Authority along with various ministry leaders.
The newly introduced digital tools are designed to support the social rehabilitation and guidance platform, encompassing a comprehensive family guidance system. This includes services and consultations, as well as access to family counselors through professional and trusted specialists. Additionally, the social specializations system was unveiled, tasked with issuing and managing licenses for social specialists and accrediting their professional classification.

Another critical introduction was the family protection system, aimed at facilitating the registration and monitoring of reported cases and incidents. This initiative is in collaboration with relevant security authorities to ensure the privacy and safety of beneficiaries. These services collectively aim to establish an e-directory for family guidance centers and counselors, complete with evaluations from beneficiaries, and support social qualification holders through e-services for issuing and managing licenses, thereby expediting the handling of family protection reports.
Furthermore, Eng. Al-Rajhi inaugurated the "empowerment service" on the social support and protection platform. This service is designed to empower and qualify social security beneficiaries capable of working by providing tailored training based on their educational qualifications and special skills. The platform aims to benefit over 100,000 young men and women in 2023 by offering training opportunities that enhance cognitive skills, align with labor market requirements, and support startups and small projects.
In his address during the event, Al-Rajhi highlighted the ministry's digital transformation journey that began four years ago. The primary objective is to reduce beneficiaries' need to visit ministry branches by serving them remotely. He proudly noted the significant progress made, with over 1,000 automated digital services now constituting around 80% of total services. Moreover, there are aspirations to launch 300 new automated services by the end of 2024.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's active participation at LEAP 24—attended by over 1,000 international and local companies in the technology sector and 1,000 experts and speakers from 180 countries—underscores its commitment to developing services for beneficiaries and showcasing its digital services and products.
