Saudi Industry Minister's Dutch Visit Aims To Strengthen Industrial Ties
The Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, recently visited several leading Dutch industrial companies. The visit aimed to explore avenues for cooperation and partnership development between Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands across various industrial sectors.
During his visit to Philips Healthcare Company in Eindhoven, Al-Khorayef met with key officials to discuss collaboration in medical device manufacturing. The discussions focused on localising this crucial industry within Saudi Arabia, aiming to boost the Kingdom's capabilities in healthcare technology.

Al-Khorayef also visited FrieslandCampina, a prominent player in dairy products and ingredients. He engaged with the company's Directors General on the potential establishment of a research and development centre in Saudi Arabia. This initiative aims to enhance local production quality and advance food processing techniques.
Upfield Company
At Upfield Company, Al-Khorayef discussed with CEOs the enhancement of cooperation and experience exchange in consumer products and plant-based food industries. The discussions also covered contributions towards achieving food security and environmental sustainability goals.
This visit aligns with Saudi Arabia's strategy to strengthen its industrial and mining sectors' role in the national economy. It also aims to foster growth in promising industries, attract quality investments, and increase the presence of Saudi non-oil exports in Dutch and European markets.
