Saudi Competitiveness And Business Center Formed After Cabinet Merges Key Centers
The Cabinet has approved the merger of the National Competitiveness Center and the Saudi Business Center into the Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center, a step that aims to improve the business environment, streamline procedures for investors and strengthen the Kingdom’s position in global competitiveness indicators and reports.
Chairman of the Boards of both former centres, Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi, stated that the decision reflects continued leadership support for the business sector and is expected to help raise Saudi Arabia’s standing in international assessments that measure economic competitiveness and the quality of the business climate.

Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi explained that the Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center will go on providing more than 6,000 government services for the business sector, in close coordination with relevant government entities, through a unified business platform and 20 physical branches across 15 cities to ensure broad coverage and easier access for investors.
According to Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi, the merger of the National Competitiveness Center and the Saudi Business Center under the Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center will help unify monitoring channels for challenges facing the private sector, enabling more targeted reforms that simplify starting and operating economic activities and align procedures with recognised international methods and practices.
Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi noted that the Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center will work with local and international partners, focusing on knowledge transfer and the exchange of expertise, to strengthen the Kingdom’s global competitiveness and to maximise the benefits arising from cooperation with specialised organisations active in economic and regulatory fields.
Looking ahead, Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi said the Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center aims to support public and private sector efforts to position the Kingdom among the world’s most competitive countries and to make its business environment a global reference for the quality, smoothness and efficiency of government services offered to the business sector.
