The procedure commenced on Thursday morning, under the guidance and directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The twins arrived in Riyadh on October 31, 2023, and subsequent examinations revealed that they share critical areas including the lower abdomen, pelvis, lower spine, and lower spinal nerves. A comprehensive team comprising 38 consultants, specialists, technicians, and nursing staff across various specialties such as anesthesia, pediatric surgery, urology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, and pediatric neurosurgery are actively participating in this operation.
