Saudi Media Forum and FOMEX to Showcase Global Media Innovations in Riyadh

Under the auspices of the Minister of Media, Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari, Riyadh is set to host the third Saudi Media Forum starting Monday. This year's theme, "Media in a World Taking Shape," aims to delve into the evolving landscape of media. The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA), in partnership with the Saudi Journalists Association, orchestrates this significant event. Over three days, the forum will gather more than 2,000 distinguished media professionals, academics, experts, and specialists from both local and international backgrounds, alongside 80 media entities.

The highlight of the forum is the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), recognized as the largest specialized media exhibition in the Middle East. FOMEX will feature over 200 local and international companies showcasing the latest technologies and innovations across various media fields. This exhibition not only serves as a platform for presenting significant developments in the media industry but also aims at fostering partnerships and facilitating the exchange of experiences through specialized and high-quality workshops led by a cadre of experts, academics, and practitioners.

Mohammed Al-Harthi, President of the Saudi Media Forum and CEO of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority, highlighted FOMEX's role in combining artistic, technical, and media aspects. He underscored that the exhibition underscores Riyadh's emerging status as a global hub for media and communication identity. Furthermore, Al-Harthi emphasized that FOMEX aligns with the Kingdom's ambitious objectives under Vision 2030 by contributing to shaping the future of media, enhancing creative thinking, sustainability, and fostering successful partnerships that aid in the development of local and global media companies and institutions.

Al-Harthi also mentioned that FOMEX will showcase modern media experiences, including the activation of contemporary television and radio production techniques. The exhibition aims to keep pace with rapid transformations in the sector by attracting leading global companies and expertise.

The Saudi Media Forum represents a pivotal moment for media professionals worldwide to converge, share insights, and explore new directions in a rapidly changing industry landscape.
