Saudi Media Forum Chairman Meets Media Ambassadors Ahead Of Fifth Edition In Riyadh

Chairman of the Saudi Media Forum Mohammed Al-Harthi met on Sunday with participants in the Media Ambassadors initiative, ahead of the forum’s fifth edition. The event is scheduled to begin on Monday at the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh, bringing together media professionals and decision-makers.

The Media Ambassadors initiative, launched under the Saudi Media Forum, targets male and female university students who study media. Selected students act as a media interface for the Kingdom at international and domestic events, supporting official communication and strengthening the image of Saudi Arabia.

Through this initiative, organisers aim to equip a new group of young media professionals with practical tools. Participants receive specialised training, field exposure and interaction with established media organisations. These experiences are designed to help them present an accurate, professional picture of the Kingdom in various media settings.

The ambassadors also support the running of the Saudi Media Forum itself. Their responsibilities include offering logistical assistance, helping promote forum activities and reflecting the perspectives of emerging media talent. In doing so, they gain first-hand experience of large-scale media events and industry practices.

The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) Training Academy acts as the strategic partner for the Media Ambassadors initiative. The academy contributes professional trainers, technical facilities and a wide specialist network. This cooperation gives students direct access to practical skills and real working environments that align with the authority’s goals.

Another partner is the Oswah community, described as the initiative’s success partner. Oswah brings experience in the media sector, especially in youth-focused programmes. The community offers access to experts and applies modern training methods, supporting participants as they develop media capabilities suited to contemporary communication needs.
