Saudi Media Forum Award For 2025 Launches New Tracks To Enhance Creative Media Industry
The Saudi Media Forum, led by Chairman Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harthy, is set to launch the 2025 edition of its prestigious award. This initiative aims to uplift the creative media sector in Saudi Arabia by encouraging high-quality outputs. The award is open to media institutions, journalists, and content creators, reflecting the forum's mission to foster creativity and innovation in the media landscape.
New tracks have been introduced this year to cater to the evolving needs of the media industry. One notable addition is an award for the most popular digital content, which will be determined through public voting. This reflects the growing influence of digital media that resonates widely with audiences. Another significant track focuses on promoting tolerance through digital platforms, in partnership with the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue.

The Saudi Media Forum Award includes various categories such as journalism, which covers data journalism, reporting, journalistic articles, and field journalism. Non-journalistic categories feature television programs, dialogue podcast programs, and academic research in media studies. These categories aim to recognize excellence across different facets of media production and communication.
In addition to individual awards, there are opportunities for both public and private sectors to participate through integrated media campaigns in communication and public relations. Special awards will also be given for Personality of the Year, Best Digital Content, Editorial Column, and Best Use of Digital Media for Promoting Tolerance.
The submission period for entries will commence in the last week of November. This window invites enthusiastic participants from across the media industry to showcase their work. Winners will be celebrated at a ceremony during the Saudi Media Forum in February in Riyadh.
Al-Harthy highlighted that this year's edition aims to diversify tracks and adapt to emerging fields within media and communication. The organizing committee is dedicated to ensuring that these new tracks address diverse needs while fostering creativity within related industries.
By introducing these new elements, the forum seeks not only to celebrate outstanding achievements but also to encourage a culture of tolerance and openness within Saudi Arabia's digital landscape.
