Saudi Media Forum 2026 Preparations Intensify In Riyadh Ahead Of Launch

Riyadh is entering its final preparation phase for the fifth Saudi Media Forum 2026, which runs from 2 to 4 February. Hundreds of staff across several disciplines are working at multiple locations to complete arrangements. The goal is to stage a major media gathering that reflects the Kingdom’s international role and growing influence in global communication.

Across King Khalid International Airport, the Hilton Hotel and main city routes, coordinated teams are active around the clock. Journalists, engineers, technicians, planners and supervisors are operating on tight schedules. Their work ranges from stage construction and technology testing to hospitality and guest reception, turning several sites in Riyadh into linked operational hubs.

At the core of this effort is the office of Forum President Mohammed Al-Harthi, where planning decisions are being taken. The office is holding continuous meetings with leaders of each track to confirm readiness. Mohammed Al-Harthi is also visiting work locations in person, checking progress and encouraging teams as the countdown to the opening continues.

Behind the scenes, 100 operations workers are assembling stages, installing large display screens and handling logistics. A 20-member graphics and visual content unit is designing screen materials and signage. In parallel, the theatre management team is reviewing programme content and coordinating technical needs, aiming to keep panel discussions and sessions running without interruption.

The Media Center and Publishing Track includes 21 journalists preparing reports, news stories and features about forum activities and outcomes for global audiences. Supporting them is a media coordination group of four members. This team manages invitations, maintains contact with partners and ensures that media organisations receive information required for full and accurate coverage.

The Marketing Track consists of 78 specialists, including designers, photographers, content creators and producers. They are shaping the forum’s visual identity and its digital footprint. Their output covers promotional videos, outdoor billboards and social media material. Advanced production methods are being used to strengthen international visibility for the event and present a unified image.

Innovation, exhibitions and hospitality at Saudi Media Forum 2026

Innovation-focused programmes are also close to completion. The Saudi Media Innovation Bootcamp (Saudi MIB) team is coordinating with finalists who will present ideas to judging panels. Participants in the Media Ambassadors Program are assisting with organisation and public engagement. Their role highlights the skills of Saudi youth in managing large-scale international media events.

Work is progressing within the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX) track, where engineers, designers and sales teams are finalising exhibitor stands for local and international companies. The group is arranging equipment deliveries and preparing the "Launch Zone." This area will host announcements of new media technologies and tools during the three-day forum in Riyadh.

On the hospitality side, a guest services team of 200 members is stationed at King Khalid International Airport and the Hilton Hotel. The group is responsible for welcoming visiting participants and handling logistical procedures. A dedicated protocol team oversees arrangements for VIP guests. Alongside them, a 50-member production and documentation unit, 20 information systems specialists and an internal events team are completing aesthetic and technical details, forming an integrated operating system as Saudi Media Forum 2026 nears its opening.
