The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) participated in a session on innovation and technology at the Saudi-Korean Business Forum in Seoul, South Korea. This event coincided with the visit of Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi and his delegation of officials from both government and private sectors to the Korean capital.

The visit aimed to enhance commercial relations in key economic sectors between Saudi Arabia and South Korea, thereby strengthening their economic partnership. The forum was organized by the National Competitiveness Center, the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

AI Boost for Entrepreneurs at Forum

SDAIA showcased its Rowad initiative at the Saudi Arabia pavilion during the forum. This initiative is designed to support entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Saudi Arabia. By integrating with National Information Center databases, Rowad allows startups to verify client data electronically, ensuring high safety and reliability standards.

The Rowad initiative also aims to improve identity uses in emerging sectors and enhance facility data quality. It supports entrepreneurs' contributions to the national GDP by providing reliable data verification methods.

Additionally, SDAIA presented plans for the third edition of the Global AI Summit, set to take place in Riyadh this September. The summit will feature over 250 speakers from around the world who will discuss AI potentials and its impacts across various fields.

Through such collaborations, SDAIA aims to realize its vision of establishing a data-driven national economy. This effort is part of Saudi Vision 2030's goals to position the Kingdom among leading countries in data and AI-driven economies.

The forum provided an opportunity for SDAIA to highlight its initiatives that support innovation and technology development. These efforts are crucial for enhancing Saudi Arabia's competitiveness on a global scale.

SDAIA’s involvement in such forums underscores its dedication to advancing technological solutions that benefit both local entrepreneurs and the broader economy. By participating in international events like these, SDAIA continues to build valuable relationships that contribute to its strategic objectives.

The collaboration between Saudi Arabia and South Korea through such forums is expected to yield significant benefits for both nations. It fosters mutual growth by leveraging each country's strengths in various economic sectors.
